What we do
Public practice accounting and taxation
Have a strong emphasis on management accounting, strategic planning, asset protection and forensic accounting. We also effectively manage our clients’ taxation. GCM has the expertise to work directly on clients’ accounting systems to ensure accurate, actionable data is maintained.
Management consulting
Establish new business ventures, comprehensively review existing business operations, perform feasibility studies, business research and valuations. We set up and review corporate structures to strategically manage for effective tax planning, and improve management processes and reporting.
Corporate governance
Assist Company management with corporate governance issues, strategic planning, management reporting and analysis.
Superannuation
Establish and administrate Self-Managed Super Funds
(SMSFs). We perform superannuation accounting, strategy, pension planning and estate tax planning. We ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office and Superannuation Industry Supervision requirements. GCM has a Limited Australian Financial Services Licence as part of our commitment to compliance.
Legal expert witness (Commercial and Family Court)
Provide reports for hearings, expert evidence, analysis of complex business structures and events, business valuations. We may attend pre-trial conferences and court sessions.

Helen Goldfinch
Director/Partner
A founding director of GCM, Helen delivers extensive years of accounting excellence in the spheres of management accounting, taxation, financial and strategic planning.
Specifically, Helen operates in the areas of management consulting, including new business structures, feasibility, and financing. Her professional expertise extends to estate tax planning, pension planning and compilation of SMSF financial statements.
Helen is often called upon as an expert witness for both commercial and family court litigation, providing specialist reports for hearings, through to delivering expert evidence and analysis of complex business structures, events and business valuations. Helen holds an MBA and a Degree in Accounting and Corporate Governance.

Jennifer Hooker
Director/Partner
Jenn is a founding director of GCM and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting.
Her many years of business advisory expertise includes asset protection, business and investment structures, wealth management and taxation strategy. Jenn works with clients covering a wide range of business categories including building and construction, property development, hospitality, retail, wholesale, fitness and sport, ranging from startups through to $50 million enterprises.

Heather Warren
Heather is an enrolled CPA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, a Diploma in Payroll services along with a Cert 4 in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Since 2022, Heather’s role at GCM includes tax return preparation for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships and sole traders. Her specialist expertise also includes payroll processing and preparation of SMSF accounts for audit. Along with her high level of proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, BGL, Reckon and Sorted, she often assists clients with their own internal financial training.

Kristy Forrest
At GCM, Kristy provides precise bookkeeping services for clients in various industry categories. These services include BAS lodgements, payroll processing and data reconciliation.
Kristy's qualifications include a Diploma Payroll, Diploma Accounting, Cert 4 Bookkeeping and Certifications for various accounting software applications,. She has also commenced her Bachelor of Accounting studies.

Melissa Chaudhary
Melissa possesses a Bachelor of Communication and her role at GCM is that of specialist bookkeeper.
Her skillset includes payroll and superannuation processing, data reconciliation, BAS and Quarterly PAYG Instalment processing.

Sheryl Thomas
Sheryl has worked at GCM for over a decade, and notably operates as GCM’s outstanding Practice Manager.
She is well qualified with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Public Administration and Management, along with a UK NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. Sheryl’s responsibilities extend to corporate secretarial compliance and administration of trusts and companies, as well as indigenous client liaison. Sheryl reviews and maintains GCMs System of Quality Management.

Pam Harling
Pam joined GCM in 2015 and holds a Bachelor of Business degree.
He roles includes human resources, recruitment, compliance and the project management of new systems implementation. In addition, Pam acts as a specialist consultant on various client projects, including the review of contracts and documents for quality, accuracy and consistency.

Jacqui Smith
As GCM’s services administrator, Jacqui’s roles include client liaison and management support. This support extends through to operational accounts receivable, corporate secretarial administration, ATO liaison, office logistics and travel.

Continuing Professional Development Policy
At GCM, we understand the value of life-long learning, ensuring we continually build knowledge and skills that we need to succeed in the competitive business environment and provide increased value to our clients. It is our policy to maintain a program of professional and personal development of all staff members. We achieve this through attendance at Tax Institute Annual Tax Forums, education forums with our professional connections in wealth management and law, and participation in webinars and training sessions held by Heffron Consulting, NTAA and other providers as required. We provide continual education and mentoring of our staff.
